The T20Is started in style. In the 1st T20I in Lucknow, captain Shreyas Iyer hit 102 not out off 43 balls, his first T20I hundred, and debutant off spinner Naman Dhir took 3 for 31 as India won by 8 wickets. It came only days after Iyer led India’s T20 side to Asian Games gold.
The tour has already produced big moments in the ODIs too. Virat Kohli reached 15,000 ODI runs, Shubman Gill scored 223 not out in a 406 run chase, and West Indies won the final ODI with a record chase led by Shai Hope’s 162 not out. India took the ODI series 2 to 1.
