This section covers Australia’s 2026 tour of South Africa, the first meeting between the two sides since South Africa beat Australia in the 2025 World Test Championship final at Lord’s. That result gives this tour an edge that a normal bilateral series would not have.
Here you will find our full series guide with the schedule, venues and squads, plus a preview and prediction for every match. Each preview includes the likely playing 11, pitch notes for grounds such as the Wanderers and Kingsmead, head to head records and a Dream11 team.
The tour also matters for the bigger picture. South Africa will host most of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027, and Australia’s batters and fast bowlers get valuable time in the same conditions a year early. We track how both teams use the series to test players and plans.
